His Serene Highness The Prince Albert II of Monaco continued his visit to Croatia on April 22nd, by visiting region of Istria. In Rovinj, the Prince stopped for a tour of the future Rehabilitation Centre for mine victims, in great part funded by the Principality. Croatian President Stjepan Mesić received a delegation of Monaco, led by Frédéric Platini
Croatian President Stjepan Mesić received a delegation of Monaco, led by the Director of the Office of International Cooperation, Frédéric Platini on March 14th 2008.The Monegasque delegation informed President Mesić about the assistance Monaco had been providing in mine removal operations and in caring for mine victims in Croatia.Among the projects supported by Monaco is the Center for the Psychosocial Reintegration and Rehabilitation of Children Victims of Land Mines in the northern Adriatic resort town of Rovinj. Other projects include demining of National parks (Paklenica, Northern Velebit) and Nature parks (Kopački rit).
